Handling waste at the Burj Khalifa.

Did you know that if you go to the bathroom in the Burj Khalifa the wastes is actually picked up , loaded into trucks after which it is transported by road to recycling plants? It is hectic to transport approximately 15tonnes of waste per day by road, don`t you think?

Burj Khalifa
The imagination of most people is that the designers of the 828 metres building would have incorporated a super waste management system that would take care of the 15 tonnes of waste from the magnificent piece.

However, this is not the case because the municipal sewage system in Dubai does not have the capacity to handle such a magnitude of waste. This is common with most of skyscrapers  in Dubai. This means that the truckers queue to off load their payload up to for 24hours for some. This is a quite a primitive system of handling waste for a magnificent structure.
